- Can I bring subcontractors onto a job without giving them everything?
- Yes. A subcontractor gets their own limited login that shows only the jobs you've put them on and the details they need - never your whole business. They can see the work, log their hours and upload site photos, and you keep full control of who sees what.
- How do progress claims work?
- Raise an invoice against the job for the stage you've reached - a progress claim - with your saved ABN, GST and bank details. The customer can pay by card from a link. Sales-invoice sync and payment reconciliation with Xero run in the background; check Activity for any waiting changes or errors.
- Can I see whether a build is running over?
- Every job shows quoted hours and costs against what's actually been logged. Because time and materials are recorded on the job as the work happens, the picture reflects the entries your team has recorded; keep those entries up to date.
- What about approvals on big spends or variations?
- Approvals can be required on the steps that count - a large purchase, a variation, a discount - with the thresholds and approvers you set. The work waits for the sign-off, and the whole chain is recorded so there's never a question about who approved what.
